Grace International works with an excellent adoption attorney
and adoption team in Guatemala. Hundreds of beautiful, very young,
healthy Guatemalan babies, toddlers and older children are available for adoption.

Our Guatemala attorney has more than fifteen years experience building
families through adoption.
• Very young,healthy babies and toddlers available for adoption
• Referral is generally 4-8 weeks after submission of Dossier
• At time of referral, prospective parents receive up to a 5 minute
video and 5-8
pictures of
Guatemalan
child
• If referral is accepted, family will receive birth certificate,
immunization records, (Hep B, HIV, VDLR) and HIV test results from
biological mother
• Monthly updates on the baby include medical information and pictures
• Adoption is completed in Guatemala by attorney before family travels
to pick up child
• Travel is 2-4 days
• Only one parent is required to travel
• Very simple adoption process
• Available children are generally newborn or very young infants
at time of referral
• Application to Grace International
• Registration and Contract to Grace International
• Home study, USCIS, and dossier preparation
• Dossier is sent to appropriate Guatemalan Embassy or Consulate
for authentication/legalization
• Parents receive referral through video, pictures, and medical reports
• Once referral is accepted, the adoption process is started and
completed in Guatemala
• Married couples
• Single females
• 25 years and older are accepted
• There is no upper age limit; however, parents over the age of 52
must demonstrate flexibility in the age of the child they request
• Parents who already have children are welcome
• Adoption is completed before parents travel to Guatemala
• Travel to pick up your child is approximately 2-4 days
